Brian Yang

Brian Yang

Brian Yang is one of the most outstanding badminton players in Canada. He has been training since the age of 14 when he saw a sign at his school for badminton lessons. His parents took him for lessons and ever since then he was just hooked to this sport . Brian has played for many different clubs where he has improved his game skills. When he was 16 years old, Brian decided to take this sport seriously and stop going to badminton club just because it was fun. Instead, he wanted to make it into a career which meant that he would have to train harder than before.

Beginning

When Yang first started playing badminton, he was just looking for something to do with his friends. It was a way to pass the time. But then it became more than that. Brian wanted to play badminton because he liked the way it made him feel: strong and powerful in his body. He also liked that it enabled him to connect with other people—and even though he didn’t realize it at first, connecting with other people is something he’s been interested in for a long time. “I started playing badminton because I wanted a way to meet new people,” Brian says. “But once I started playing, I realized how much fun it was! And then I realized that what mattered most wasn’t whether or not you won or lost—it was if you were having fun.” And if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Brian over the years, it’s that he always has fun!
